The Oncue Story
In early 2016, CEO Kate DeWald watched how stressful the whole experience was for a friend who was moving. She knew there had to be a way to make moving less stressful for the 40 million people who move every year in the United States, so she asked local moving company owners how she could help simplify the process. An owner who had recently immigrated from Colombia told her that answering every sales call was one of the hardest parts of running his business. As they sat together in a San Francisco coffee shop, his cell phone rang and he asked Kate if she could answer the call. She did, and the idea for Oncue was born.
