Oncue and what we’re doing to help movers during Covid

As the world reels from the impact of COVID-19, communities everywhere find themselves learning how to navigate a strange and unfamiliar new existence. The year 2020 has become a turning point in history that future generations will talk about for years to come.

At Oncue, we’re continually staying up to date with the progression of the coronavirus pandemic. Since early March, Oncue employees across all offices have been working from home, all work travel has been postponed and we’ve implemented regular video communication between our employees and our customers.

Protective masks for our customers

Millions haven’t left their home in weeks, parents have become teachers, thousands of employees are working from home for the first time, and most of us are unable to see our friends and families. On top of that, global healthcare systems and workers are being stretched to the absolute max.

The health and safety of our employees, customers and the general community is our number #1 priority during these challenging times. We wanted to help ensure the safety of our employees, customers, office representatives and drivers on the job, so in April we sent them protective masks to help these essential workers stay safe.

Coronavirus Terms and Policies for movers

We’ve added a temporary update to our customer’s terms and policies to help everyone stay safe at work during coronavirus. The update advises customers to notify their movers if they have any symptoms of COVID-19, recommends that customers take precautionary measures at onsites or booked moves, and informs customers of their right to reschedule or cancel work to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. If you’re not a customer but you would like to use these terms and policies during coronavirus, you can get them here.

Resources to help movers stay safe

Movers

We’ve put together a library of resources for everything you need to know as a mover during the coronavirus pandemic, including a Think Tank Webinar and a COVID-19 Mover Guide for your moving business. The resources cover everything from protecting crew members on the move, how to market your moving company during the coronavirus pandemic, and what other moving industry owners are doing to navigate their business in these challenging times.
